Capitol Connections

When:  May 19, 2021
How can YOU impact the future of the industry?

ELFA member participation in the political process is critical so that policymakers will hear the united voice for our industry and understand how current policy issues will affect the equipment leasing and finance industry.

REGISTRATION PRIOR TO April 9 IS REQUIRED FOR ATTENDANCE

This ONE DAY program includes

  • Advocacy training for ELFA members
  • Briefing on the latest public policy development
  • Meeting with Members of Congress and with select federal agencies

Capitol Hill Meeting Assignments
ELFA will create individualized schedules with our target list of elected officials in the House and Senate for each attendee. Congressional offices are alerted to those scheduled to visit the office and expect to see those listed.

Registered attendees will be assigned meetings based on geography to the extent possible. If you have a relationship with a specific member of Congress, please contact Chelsea Neil (cneil@elfaonline.org) to discuss.

Attendees will be able to view their individual schedules by logging onto the ELFA Capitol Connections website after May 14. Due to the nature of scheduling with congressional offices, attendees schedules will change continuously as new meetings are scheduled or meeting are rescheduled due to the constantly changing Congressional schedule.  Attendees will receive a final listing of meeting assignments through the ELFA Capitol Connections Fly-In app, on Wednesday, May 19.

Special Note
Each attendees' schedule is tailored to give the maximum impact for ELFA's advocacy efforts. Since each schedule is individualized, it is critical that any changes in attendance are communicated to Chelsea Neil prior to the start of Capitol Connections.

Issue Briefing
To prepare you on the issues that will be discussed during Capitol Connections, ELFA will host a webinar on Thursday, May 6.  Afterwards, the webinar will be available online.  Additional materials will be provided on the Capitol Connections website; as well as a link to your individualized schedule with background on the congressional offices you will visit (live May 14).
Registered attendees will be given prior notice of policy updates and provided with materials through the ELFA Capitol Connections website.
